Q. What vision plans are available to member firms?
A. Independence Blue Cross (IBC) has various options ranging in benefits from $35 to $250 for anyone enrolled in a medical plan.
Q. What does the vision plan cover?
A. When enrolled in a Keystone medical plan, the vision plan covers frames, lenses and contact lenses. The eye exam is covered by the medical plan.
When enrolled in a Personal Choice medical plan, the vision plan covers the eye exam, frames, lenses and contact lenses.
Q. How does the plan work?
A. When members go to participating providers for the exam, the provider accepts the allowance as payment in full. Keystone members are responsible for paying the specialist copay. Personal Choice members do not have a copay.
Members who get their glasses or contacts from a participating provider will be able to choose from the Davis Tower of Frames and may have to pay a copay based on the selection.
Members who do not use participating providers will have to submit their receipts to IBC for reimbursement up to their benefit maximum.
